Movie Chain Regal Inks Deal To Back Film-Focused Podcasts On Evergreen.

Evergreen Podcasts’ movie-focused podcasts Sleepover Cinema and Next Best Picture may be in store for some on-screen promotion to theatergoers as part of a collaboration with Regal, which operates a 429-movie theater chain. Regal will receive ad inventory on the two shows that cover the latest in the world of cinema.

"There are so many ways that movies and podcasts can work together to ignite the passion and fandom of movie lovers across America," said Kelly Hawkins, VP of Loyalty at Regal. "Our goal is to continue to build on our community of loyal movie lovers by connecting movie memories to moments that reach beyond the big screen to enhance their experiences.”

'Show Choir' documentary from Solon filmmaker sisters to be featured at Cleveland International Film Festival

'Full Out: Inside Ohio Show Choir' is a story of drama, drive, and talent that puts the Buckeye State at center stage.

CLEVELAND — They may not be performing on a Broadway stage, but the next generation of talented voices are performing their hearts out and finding the spotlight right here in Northeast Ohio.

This is show choir -- groups of high schoolers competing through musical performance.

"Ohio is the center of the show choir universe," Garfield Heights Music Express director Steve Pernod said at a recent competition. "That’s why 'Glee' was set in [Lima], Ohio."

“CHAGRIN FALLS, Ohio -- When New York University film student Audrey Leach embarked on her senior project in 2019, she chose a subject she knew from the inside out -- show choir.

The result of that project is a compelling documentary, “Full-out: Inside Ohio Show Choir,” which has been chosen for the Chagrin Documentary Film Festival’s featured closing night slot at 5:30 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 10.

The five-day in-person and online festival will screen nearly 100 domestic and international documentaries Tuesday, Oct. 5, through the Sunday night closing.”
